Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve Seeking Summer Interns

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, Pa., is offering paid summer internships to qualified applicants who are interested in native plant education, horticulture, and public gardens. The internship will begin in either May or June 2022. Applicants must have already completed two years of college. The application deadline is March 1, 2022. 

The program will offer students one-on-one training with Bowman’s education coordinator and other key staff members on the subjects of:

Public education and interpretation 

Native plant propagation and planting

Land and trail management

Nursery and gift shop sales and operations

Social media, marketing, and journalism 

History and ecological importance of native plant communities

Potential field trips to other botanical gardens, native plant nurseries, and natural areas are offered to round out interns’ understanding of plants and public gardens. Interns will also attend educational programs at the Preserve and complete an individual research or work project for public presentation
