Tim Burton’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” Influences Spring Fashion Trends
These Alice-inspired collections inspire us to journey down the rabbit hole

The fashion industry is going all Alice in celebration of Disney’s May 27 release of Alice Through the Looking Glass. Starring Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, the Tim Burton movie is teeming with fantastical costumes, colors, and scenery that has inspired a myriad of fashion collections. From an Urban Decay make-up line to a wonderland-inspired HSN collaboration with celebrities like Miranda Kerr and Giulianan Rancic, there is no shortage of whimsy in this spring’s trends.

This Canadian company’s Alice themed collection could be described at “gothic-floral.” The line’s shoes and purses come in floral pastel pink, fuchsia, and black. Highlights include sultry sandals topped with wraparound laces and black leather heart-shaped clutches.

OPI is famous for its witty nail polish names, and they went all out for their Alice line. Favorites include a bold cerulean blue called “Fearlessly Alice,” a glittering gold called “A Mirror Escape,” and a hot pink color named, “Mad for Madness Sake.”

HSN’s Alice Through the Looking Glass is both star-studded and enormous. Items range from Crystal Teacup Earrings by Heidi Daus to a light blue leather jacket by Giuliana Rancic. Other celebrity collaborators and designers include Miranda Kerr, Vince Camuto, Jeffrey Banks, and Patricia Underwood.

The collection includes graphic tees with famous Alice in Wonderland movie quotes, floral dresses, and rompers with oversized neck bows. Items range from $36 to $68, making Alice essentials accessible to all fashionistas.

Urban Decay knows how to go bold, and the over-the-top elements in Alice Through the Looking Glass inspired them to go bolder than ever. Their collaboration with Disney brings us a saturated blue-pink eye shadow called “Cake,” the Mad Hatter bright purple shimmer lipstick, and ornately designed packaging that looks like a work of art.
