The show will take the form of a lively, dynamic cabaret with all of the Broadway stars coming together to display their expertise on stage. Last December, the event raised $50,000 for the “Food, Health, and Hope: An Answer to Diabetes” initiative, a community program in North Jersey working to help eradicate diabetes among the state’s adults whose income falls below the poverty level.
The program provides diabetes screenings, lifestyle and nutrition education, and fresh healthy food to New Jersey residents, amongst other things.
“Diabetes is an epidemic among our neighbors in need,” explained Carlos M. Rodriguez, president and CEO of the Community Food Bank of NJ. “Providing nutritious fruits and vegetables, along with regular health screenings, are important ways to help them maintain positive lifestyles, which is what makes this partnership so critical.”
Paper Mill Playhouse is a storied theater located at 22 Brookside Drive in Millburn. In November of 1938, Paper Mill Playhouse opened its doors with The Kingdom of Good, a play by Martinez Sierra.
