Meet Tata Harper

Tata Harper is the scientist and visionary behind the coveted Tata Harper skincare and beauty line. Originally from Columbia, Harper now resides on a large farm in Vermont with her husband (business partner Henry Harper) and their three children. Her interest in all natural skincare began when her stepfather was diagnosed with cancer. During his treatment, Harper was determined to find products that were free of synthetic-chemical ingredients. She searched at Whole Foods and other stores, but could not find exactly what she was looking for.

That’s when Harper wondered whether she, herself, could craft a beauty line using 100 percent non-toxic and natural ingredients. In fact, she was inspired by her Vermont setting and sought out locally sourced items. Tata Harper Inc. is now headquartered in a large red barn where Harper develops formula and handles national and international marketing.

Over the past few years, Harper’s skincare line has literally blossomed. She has been featured all over the media thanks to celebrity fans like Gwyneth Paltrow. For her, success is in the transparency (all of her products are handmade in Vermont and are artisanal in quality).
