10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Dino Dig at Liberty Science Center, 222 Jersey City Blvd., Jersey City. Families will experience a paleontological expedition, working alongside LSC’s Dino Dig Guide Team to discover replica fossils of prehistoric creatures from the late Cretaceous period, buried in 35 tons of sand (through the month of August)!

Saturday, August 20

9:15 a.m.: Back to School Bash at Athleta’s at Tice’s Corner in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Join Sukha Arts for a hip hop class, get your hair braided, try some hair chalk, and more.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: National Honey Bee Day at Abma’s Farm, 700 Lawlins Road in Wycoff, NJ. Celebrate bees on the farm and everything they do to help our planet!

11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Nature-themes story time and animal visit at Tenafly Nature Center, 313 Hudson Avenue, Tenafly.

6 to 10 p.m.: Enjoy musical performances outdoors at Midsummer Night’s Jam at Memorial Field at Haworth, NJ. Includes classical, Broadway, and rock music.

Sunday, August 21

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Action Fun Farm at Heaven Hill Farm and Garden Center, 451 State Rt. 94 in Vernon, NJ. Over 30 farm activities for children and families including hay rides, obstacle courses, ball arcades, corn maze, and more (through September 11).

10 a.m. to 7 p.m.: New York Renaissance Faire at 600 Rt. 17A, Tuxedo Park, NY. 16th C. games, rides, arts, crafts, food, music, and dance (Saturdays and Sundays through October 2).
